Czech Muffed Tumbler
The Czech Muffed Tumbler is a Czech tumbler pigeon distinguished by feathered feet, or muffs, along with the compact type and head qualities expected in its breed group. It comes from a region with many finely differentiated tumbler breeds, so the Czech identity and muffed form should not be treated as a generic foot-feathered pigeon. Color and markings depend on the accepted standard.
Muffed tumblers need dry floors, clean nest areas, and perches that do not shred foot feathers. If the line is flown, training should be moderate enough to avoid damaging muffs while still testing orientation and activity. Show breeders should pair for foot feather, body balance, head type, and fertility together. Regular inspection for mites and packed debris around the feet is part of keeping heavily feathered pigeons comfortable.
