Dutch Curled Cropper
The Dutch Curled Cropper is a cropper pigeon that combines the inflated crop and upright stance of a pouter with curled or frilled feathering. The curled feature gives the breed extra texture and show appeal, but it also makes feather quality and loft cleanliness especially important. It is an exhibition breed rather than a performance flyer.
Dry floors, clean nest bowls, bathing water, and roomy loft space are especially useful for Dutch Curled Croppers because the curled feathering can break or mat if the birds are crowded or damp. Pairings need to balance crop shape, curl, posture, fertility, and healthy movement. Heavy or disorderly curl can reduce weather protection and make daily maintenance harder. Before shows, gentle handling and clean housing matter as much as dramatic feather texture.
