Figurita
The Figurita is a very small fancy pigeon from Spain, often called the Figurita Valenciana. Its appeal lies in tiny size, neat proportions, lively carriage, and a refined head and beak, but the bird should still look balanced and active rather than weak. Figuritas are kept as exhibition and specialty fancy pigeons, with several colors accepted by different clubs and a scale that sets them apart from most loft breeds.
Because of their size, Figuritas need secure loft design that prevents bullying by larger pigeons. Feed should be easy to reach, perches should suit small feet, and breeding pairs should be watched so squabs receive enough care. Breeders should select for smallness only when vigor, fertility, and body balance remain sound. Small size should come with bright eyes, smooth feather, and active movement, not frailty. Buyers should handle them gently and compare mature birds, since young small pigeons can change noticeably as they finish growing.
