French Krymka Tumbler
The French Krymka tumbler is a cap-marked tumbler pigeon, with Krymka commonly used in European pigeon names for a helmet or cap pattern on the head. It belongs to the domestic pigeon species Columba livia and carries a French fancy identity around the combination of tumbler type and a recognizable head marking. The name points more to appearance and regional standard than to a guarantee of present-day aerial tumbling.
Care depends on the family. Exhibition birds are managed for clean color boundaries, sound head shape, bright condition, and easy handling in the show pen. If the line is flown, young birds need controlled settling, small-group exercise, and selection against disorientation or unsafe rolling. Buyers should ask whether the birds are bred for markings, flight, or both, because the Krymka look can remain after performance selection has weakened.
