Georgian Sizaghrani
Georgian Sizaghrani is a rare Georgian pigeon breed label with limited English documentation. It appears to belong to the regional domestic pigeon fancy of the Caucasus, where local names may carry information about color, markings, village origin, or type that is not obvious in translation. The safest description is a Georgian fancy pigeon of rock-pigeon ancestry, maintained by specialist fanciers rather than by large international clubs.
Management should begin with ordinary pigeon fundamentals and careful provenance. Keep the loft dry, quarantine new birds, provide grit and bathing water, and avoid mixing the line casually with similar-looking pigeons. Breeders need photographs, source notes, and communication with experienced keepers to preserve the expected type. Where a standard is hard to obtain, pairing for vigor and recognizable family traits is better than chasing one uncertain feature from a translated name.
