Georgian White-Tailed
The Georgian white-tailed pigeon is a Georgian fancy pigeon variety named for its white tail. It sits with the regional tail-marked breeds of domestic pigeon, where a single color feature can separate closely related varieties. The bird's identity depends on a clean white tail, appropriate body type, and the markings described by the standard used in Georgian or regional pigeon circles.
White tail feathers are easy to stain and easy to misbreed. Dry floors, clean nest bowls, and perches that keep the tail away from damp litter are useful in every season. Breeders usually wait until young birds finish the first molt before judging whether the tail is clear and whether body color has crept into the wrong places. Buyers should compare siblings and parents, since a single attractive bird may not reveal how reliably the line produces the white-tailed pattern.
