Georgian Yellow-Tailed
The Georgian yellow-tailed pigeon is a regional domestic pigeon variety from Georgia, distinguished by yellow tail color within a local fancy standard. It is best read alongside other Georgian tail-colored pigeons, where black, red, white, and yellow forms may share general type but differ in the tail and associated color rules. As with many Caucasus-region pigeon names, detailed English descriptions are not widely available.
The yellow tail is the feature to protect, but it has to sit on a healthy, fertile pigeon with sound general type. Careless pairing can muddy pale color or narrow a small rare line too far, so photographs of adult relatives after molt are useful when buying or planning matings. Day-to-day care is ordinary pigeon husbandry: dry ventilation, grit, clean water, safe nesting, and predator protection, with extra attention to keeping the tail clean and sharply placed.
