Orientale Eastslowakian Roller
The Orientale East Slovakian roller is a regional roller pigeon associated with eastern Slovakia and the wider Central European flying-pigeon tradition. It is a domestic pigeon, Columba livia, selected for activity, kit work, and rolling or tumbling behavior rather than heavy body size. English references may use several spellings, and local loft families can differ in color, markings, and how strongly they emphasize show type compared with flight performance.
Practical management follows the needs of an athletic roller. Young birds are trained close to home, flown in good visibility, and removed from the flying team if they roll dangerously low. A clean, dry loft with straightforward grain feeding, grit, and mineral support is usually sufficient. Because the breed is not common outside its region, prospective keepers should ask whether stock comes from a flying family and which local standard, if any, is being followed.
