Polish Crest Tumbler
The Polish Crest Tumbler is a Polish variety in the broad tumbler pigeon group, identified by a crest at the back of the head as well as by its compact, lively body. Tumblers were historically selected for acrobatic flight, but modern lines can range from active flying birds to mainly exhibition stock. The crest may be described differently by local standards or clubs, yet it should frame the head cleanly without covering the eyes or spoiling the bird's balance.
These pigeons can be kept in a small hobby loft, and flying families benefit from careful kit training after young birds have settled to their home. Crested feathers do not require elaborate grooming, but they should be checked for mites, broken quills, and dirt before shows. Pairing decisions should consider crest shape, body type, and reliable parenting together; an impressive crest is not useful on a weak or nervous bird. If flight performance matters, ask whether the family is still flown, since many show tumblers no longer roll consistently.
