Polish Murzyn
Polish Murzyn is a traditional Polish fancy pigeon name applied to a domestic Columba livia breed or local variety seen in the exhibition and tumbler community. The word is retained in some breed lists as a historical Polish label, and translations can be awkward, so identification should come from a current standard or an experienced breeder. In the loft, the birds are evaluated by the expected outline, head and beak proportions, feather quality, and the color or marking arrangement specified for that strain.
Because this is not a common mainstream breed in many countries, sourcing sound stock matters more than chasing rare color names. Prospective keepers should ask whether birds breed true, whether they are normally flown, and how closely they follow the Polish description. Care is ordinary pigeon husbandry: a clean dry loft, mineral grit, fresh water, secure nest boxes, and enough space to prevent feather wear during the breeding season.
