Romanian Naked-Neck Tumbler
Romanian naked-neck tumbler is a Romanian tumbler variety named for reduced or visually exposed feathering around the neck. The trait makes it stand apart from color-only tumbler labels, because the body covering itself is part of the breed impression. It should still be understood as a domestic pigeon variety, not as a sign of disease or poor feather condition when the feature matches the standard.
Keepers need to distinguish normal naked-neck expression from injury, parasites, molt problems, or feather picking. Birds should be active, comfortable, and able to regulate themselves in the loft. In colder or damp climates, housing may need extra attention because exposed neck skin or sparse feathering can be less forgiving than ordinary plumage. Breeding choices should keep the neck trait clear while protecting fertility, feeding behavior, and the compact tumbler type.
