Seraphim Pigeon
The Seraphim pigeon is a modern ornamental fancy pigeon developed in the United States and named for its soft angelic impression. It is generally kept as a show breed rather than a working flyer, with selection aimed at balanced outline, tidy feathering, pale presentation, and calm pen presence. Compared with performance tumblers or homers, the Seraphim is judged more by body balance, cleanliness of type, head quality, and the way its feathering frames the bird.
Management centers on preserving show condition. Clean loft floors, dry nest bowls, and perches that do not soil or abrade the plumage matter more than hard flight training. Breeders pair for symmetry, vigor, and steady temperament as well as appearance, because a beautiful bird that rears poorly is difficult to maintain in a small fancy line. Buyers should look for active, well-feathered birds from stock that has been handled enough to stand calmly for inspection.
