Pink Roach
Gyna capucina
The pink roach is a colorful Gyna maintained by experienced specialist breeders. Adults perch above the substrate, while the yellow-speckled young shelter below the surface. Consistent breeding can be difficult: colonies need warmth, moist but well-aerated substrate, strong ventilation and a varied diet including produce. Females retain their egg cases and release live young. Adults climb and may fly, so the enclosure needs a secure lid and fine vents.
