Red Goblin Roach
Paratemnopteryx couloniana
The red goblin roach is a small species maintained in specialist and feeder colonies. Adult males have longer wings than the broader females, making the sexes easier to distinguish than the young. Colonies use humid, ventilated retreats and moist substrate with varied food. Females lay small egg cases containing relatively few eggs, but produce them frequently. Adults can climb smooth surfaces, whereas the young remain below them, so secure upper enclosure edges are important.
