Rehn's Cockroach
Latiblattella rehni
Rehn's cockroach is a small, exceptionally flat roach found in sheltered folds of dead palm fronds in the Florida Keys. Its low body allows it to slip through narrow gaps. Specialist keepers maintain colonies with humid air, dry shelter surfaces, warmth and ample ventilation; excessive wetness can cause colony losses. Females lay egg cases. Adults of both sexes can fly and escape quickly when disturbed, so servicing the enclosure requires care.
