Super Tiger
A super tiger reticulated python is the stronger expression of the tiger pattern morph in Python reticulatus. Compared with a single-gene tiger, super tigers usually have more pronounced striping, reduced side pattern, and a cleaner longitudinal look that departs sharply from the normal netted design. The amount of striping and contrast still varies, and additional morphs such as albino, sunfire, or platinum can change the final appearance considerably.
Super tiger is a pattern description within captive breeding, not a husbandry category. These snakes require the same adult planning as other retics, including sturdy enclosures, reliable heat, good ventilation with adequate humidity, and handling practices suited to a large constrictor. Breeders use super tiger to make striped combinations, so identifying the difference between tiger and super tiger is most important in breeding projects and sales. For owners, the practical questions are simpler: how large the line tends to get, whether the animal is feeding steadily, and whether the keeper has the experience and space for an adult reticulated python.
