Tiger
The tiger reticulated python is a captive pattern morph of Python reticulatus named for its elongated striping and reduced, stretched version of the normal reticulated pattern. Instead of a tight network of diamonds and side markings, many tigers show lengthwise bands, cleaner flanks, and a bolder dorsal flow. It was one of the influential early retic morphs and remains common in combination projects because its striping can reshape the look of albino, sunfire, platinum, and other morphs.
Tiger does not indicate a subspecies, temperament type, or smaller adult size. Husbandry should be planned around the reticulated python's real needs: strong escape-resistant housing, tropical warmth, regular humidity, and enough working space to manage a fast-growing snake safely. Dwarf or super dwarf ancestry must be evaluated separately from the tiger gene. Breeders value tigers for visual pairings and for producing super tiger offspring when bred appropriately, while pet keepers should judge an individual by health, feeding reliability, and manageable behavior rather than by pattern alone.
