Roloway Monkey
Cercopithecus roloway
The roloway monkey has a dark coat, pale brow and cheek markings, and a long white beard. It lives in forests of Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire and feeds largely on fruit and other plant foods. Conservation zoos keep social groups with high climbing routes, sheltered rooms and feeding enrichment. Females bear live infants. It is distinct from Diana monkey, but remains covered by the older ESA Diana listing. CITES Appendix I and US primate-import restrictions apply.
