San Martín Titi
Plecturocebus oenanthe
The San Martin titi is a small Peruvian forest monkey with brownish fur, warm orange underparts and a variable pale facial mask. It is native to the Río Mayo region and lives in close family groups, feeding mainly on fruit and other plant foods. Conservation collections need climbing routes, sheltered sleeping places and compatible family housing. Females bear live infants, often carried by the father. It is also called the Río Mayo titi. US primate-import restrictions apply.
