Philippine Tangerine Tarantula
Selenobrachys philippinus
The Philippine tangerine tarantula is an orange to orange-brown burrowing species from Negros in the Philippines. A 2025 revision restored it to Selenobrachys; older hobby records use Orphnaecus philippinus. Keep reliable breeder records rather than relying on orange coloration alone. Experienced keepers provide a secure, ventilated enclosure with deep, moisture-retaining substrate, a retreat and water. Avoid handling. Females lay eggs in a silk sac.
