Kajli
Kajli sheep are a Pakistani breed from Punjab, widely recognized for a white body with dark eye, ear, or muzzle markings in many lines. They are kept mainly as meat sheep, and large, stylish animals can be especially prominent in local markets. The breed's visual identity is strong, but production value still depends on growth, fertility, and structural soundness.
For breeders, Kajli selection should not stop at the dark facial pattern. Good ewes need functional udders, enough milk for lambs, and feet that hold up under local conditions. Rams should be assessed for body capacity and breeding soundness. Buyers should confirm true Kajli ancestry because similarly marked crossbreds may be sold under the name.
