Small Yellow Cockroach
Cariblatta lutea
The small yellow cockroach is a tiny North American roach found in habitats from scrub and pine hammocks to deciduous forest. Adult males are golden yellow, while females range from amber to brown. Specialist breeders keep colonies in ventilated enclosures with sheltered dry surfaces and closely managed moisture. Females lay egg cases that are sensitive to both excessive wetness and drying. Its small size and climbing ability make secure enclosure openings especially important.
