Striped Burrowing Roach
Byrsotria cabrerai
The striped burrowing roach is a large Byrsotria kept by specialist breeders. Adult males show the strongest pale striping, while broader females have smaller whitish marks along the abdomen. Captive stock is short-winged even though long-winged animals are known. Colonies use sheltered organic burrowing substrate with a moisture gradient and varied food. Females retain their egg cases and release live young. It resembles Roth's giant burrowing roach, which has more variable adult wings.
