Twin-Tipped Winglet Roach
Lobopterella dimidiatipes
The twin-tipped winglet roach is a small, active Lobopterella kept in specialist and feeder colonies. Adults have reduced wings and a contrasting pattern, superficially resembling some Loboptera. Captive colonies tolerate a range of conditions when provided with warmth, sheltered cover, a moisture gradient and varied food. Females lay egg cases. All stages climb, so a fitted lid and secure enclosure edges are important. Reliable stock records help separate similar short-winged species.
