Unknown Morph
Unknown morph means the veiled chameleon was not supplied with reliable morph information or parentage. It is often used for rescues, dealer animals, juveniles whose color pattern has not been followed from hatchling to adult, or chameleons from mixed captive stock. The label is not a separate variety; it only says that traits such as blue bar, yellow bar, piebald, translucent, or normal wild-type background cannot be confirmed.
An unknown-morph veiled chameleon should be bought, adopted, and managed on its individual health rather than assumed genetics. Quarantine is sensible when history is thin, and females need special attention because veiled chameleons can produce infertile clutches that still require a proper laying site. Housing remains species standard: vertical, well ventilated, warm at the basking branch, humid in cycles rather than constantly wet, and furnished for climbing and visual security.
