Venezuelan Red Stripe Pink Toe Tarantula

The Venezuelan red stripe pink toe tarantula is an arboreal species known from Venezuela. Its black abdomen retains vivid orange lateral spots into adulthood, unlike the juvenile-only abdominal patterns of several other Avicularia. Adults have an orange-brown carapace and brown legs with a pink sheen. Hobbyists keep it singly with upright bark or foliage, room for a silk retreat, fresh water and good ventilation. Avoid handling and contact with defensive hairs. Females lay eggs in a silk sac.
