Weeper Capuchin
Cebus olivaceus
The weeper capuchin is a northern South American monkey with a pale brown body and a dark pointed crown patch. It searches trees for fruit, insects and other foods, using dexterous hands and a grasping tail. Zoos keep social groups with complex climbing routes, sheltered rooms and feeding enrichment. Females bear live infants. It is an untufted capuchin, without the prominent head tufts of many Sapajus species. US primate-import restrictions apply.
