White-Fronted Brown Lemur
Eulemur albifrons
This northeastern Malagasy lemur has a brown-gray body and a long furry tail. Adult males have a bright white forehead and cheek fringe, while females have a browner head without the same white mask. Zoos keep social groups with climbing routes, sleeping retreats and feeding enrichment; females bear live young. The white-headed male differs from the russet-crowned rufous brown lemur. ESA endangered status, CITES Appendix I and US primate-import restrictions apply.
