White-Lipped Tree Frog
Sandyrana infrafrenata
This large treefrog lives in New Guinea, nearby islands and northeastern Australia and is kept by specialist amphibian hobbyists. Adults have a green or brown back and a conspicuous white stripe along the lower lip. Keepers provide tall enclosures with sturdy perches, plants, humid retreats, ventilation, clean water and varied insects. Females lay eggs in water, and the tadpoles develop there. Its slender body and white lip differ from the stockier magnificent treefrog with enlarged head glands.
