White-Naped Mangabey
Cercocebus lunulatus
This western African mangabey has a brown-gray back, pale underside and a distinct white patch at the nape. It forages both on the forest floor and in trees, eating fruit, seeds and other foods. Zoos manage social groups with ground space, climbing routes and separation rooms. Females bear live infants. The species remains covered by the older ESA Cercocebus torquatus listing through its former atys/lunulatus classification. US primate-import restrictions apply.
