Yellow Baboon
Papio cynocephalus
The yellow baboon is a long-limbed African monkey with yellow-brown fur and an elongated bare muzzle. Social troops use woodland and savanna, foraging for plants and small animals and resting in trees. Zoos manage compatible groups with climbing structures, ground space and sheltered separation rooms. Females bear live infants. Its leaner build and yellower coat differ from the reddish, shaggy Guinea baboon. US primate-import restrictions apply.
