Desert Ghost
A desert ghost ball python is a recessive morph with clean, bright color and reduced dark wash, often keeping a crisp look as the snake matures. Breeders sometimes describe it as an enhancer because it can sharpen and lighten other morphs rather than simply changing one color. Desert ghost is separate from standard ghost or hypo lines, and visual animals have two copies of the desert ghost trait.
Husbandry is normal ball python care, but breeding plans depend on accurate recessive records. A het desert ghost may look ordinary, while a visual desert ghost can be part of complex combinations with clown, hypo, axanthic, pied, or pattern genes. Breeders should keep clear notes on het status and avoid blending desert ghost with other hypo-like labels in listings. Buyers interested in breeding should ask whether the animal is visual, proven het, or possible het and what line information is available.
