Lavender Albino
A lavender albino ball python is a recessive albino-line morph with yellow to orange patterning set against pale lavender, lilac, or warm cream background tones. It is genetically distinct from the common albino line and is valued for the way its purple cast can remain visible as the snake grows. Visual lavender albinos have two copies of the trait, while het lavender albinos usually do not show the color.
Care follows normal ball python requirements, though soft lighting and secure hides suit albino-type animals that may be more reactive to bright displays. Breeding plans should keep lavender albino separate from standard albino unless compatibility is documented, because similar names do not guarantee the same genetics. Buyers should ask whether the animal is visual lavender albino, het lavender albino, or part of a combination such as lavender clown or lavender pied. Accurate records protect the project from costly confusion.
