Leopard
A leopard ball python is an incomplete dominant morph that tends to darken the pattern, add spots or striping, and create a bold, high-contrast look. Single-gene leopards often show a busier pattern and more intense markings than a normal ball python, while combinations can range from clean striped clowns to dark, heavily patterned pied or GHI projects. The gene is especially popular because it can sharpen structure without washing out the animal.
Leopard ball pythons need standard ball python care, including stable heat, humidity, hides, and a calm feeding routine. For breeders, leopard is a useful pattern tool, but it can be subtle or heavily transformed when combined with other genes. Parent records and clear photos help separate leopard from other dark or pattern-enhancing traits. Buyers should ask whether the snake is single-gene leopard or a combination, since the same visible pattern may point to different breeding possibilities.
