Wuhua
Wuhua chickens are a local Chinese chicken label associated with Wuhua, commonly understood as part of the many county and village poultry resources of southern China. The name points to regional origin more than to a single color pattern. Like many local chickens, Wuhua birds are usually valued for table quality, foraging ability, and adaptation to small farm conditions rather than for the extremely fast growth expected from commercial broilers.
For owners and breeders, the main work is keeping the line identifiable while maintaining everyday usefulness. Birds need dry, ventilated housing in humid weather, steady feed to support growth and laying, and enough outdoor space to express active foraging behavior. If Wuhua chickens are being kept for conservation or specialty production, breeders should document source, body type, skin and shank traits, and any locally recognized plumage expectations.
