Schnoodle
A schnoodle is a planned cross between a Schnauzer and a Poodle, with size and coat depending on whether toy, miniature, standard, or giant parents were used. Because it is a hybrid companion dog rather than a single closed breed, schnoodles can range from small lap dogs to substantial family dogs. Most have a lively expression, a square or slightly leggy build, and a coat that may be curly, wavy, or wiry. Black, silver, salt-and-pepper, parti, apricot, and other poodle-influenced colors may appear.
Life with a schnoodle depends heavily on the parents behind the litter. The Poodle side usually brings trainability and coat maintenance, while the Schnauzer side can add watchfulness, terrier-like persistence, and a beard that mats if ignored. Regular combing and professional trimming are normal, even for dogs sold as low-shedding. Prospective buyers should ask about expected adult size, generation, temperament of both parents, and health screening appropriate to the parent breeds; rescue adopters should plan for an energetic, people-focused dog that needs training as well as grooming.
