Sheepadoodle
The Sheepadoodle is a planned cross between an Old English Sheepdog and a Poodle, usually a Standard Poodle though smaller crosses are sometimes advertised. It is a domestic dog mix rather than a kennel-club breed, so size, coat, shedding, and temperament vary from litter to litter. Many have a large, sturdy frame with a wavy or curly coat in black, white, gray, or parti patterns, and some inherit the Old English Sheepdog's herding watchfulness along with the Poodle's quick learning.
Care demands are often underestimated because the fluffy coat can mat close to the skin. Regular brushing, professional clipping, and early tolerance of grooming are part of normal upkeep. These dogs also need daily exercise and training that channels intelligence without encouraging nuisance herding or jumping. Claims of a hypoallergenic coat should be treated cautiously, as individual allergy reactions differ. Responsible breeders screen the parent dogs for issues seen in both breeds, including hip disease, eye problems, thyroid disease, and conditions associated with Standard Poodles, and they should be able to describe the expected adult size honestly.
