Solid
A solid guppy is selected for one dominant color impression across the body and fins, such as solid red, solid blue, solid black, or solid yellow. The goal is even coverage rather than spots, mosaics, or strong contrasting sections. Solid lines can be difficult to perfect because small pale areas, uneven fin color, or stray markings are easy to see against a one-color presentation.
Solid guppies suit breeders who enjoy precise selection, since each generation must be judged for color density, body shape, and finnage together. Pet keepers can maintain them like other fancy guppies, with clean warm water, peaceful companions, and enough room for males to display without constant chasing. When buying, choose fish with active posture and consistent color under normal light, not just a dramatic photo-tank appearance.
