Yellow
Yellow guppies are fancy Poecilia reticulata selected for yellow body color, yellow fins, or a yellow-dominant tail pattern. Some lines are lemon and translucent, while others carry richer gold tones or yellow over a pale body. The label can describe a solid strain, a yellow delta-tail line, or a mixed fancy guppy whose most obvious trait is yellow coloration.
Aquarium care follows normal guppy practice, but the color is easiest to maintain when breeders choose vigorous fish with clear pigment rather than pairing the brightest fish regardless of body shape. Yellow can fade under stress, poor diet, or weak lighting, so photos taken in ordinary tank conditions are more useful than saturated sales images. When yellow guppies are crossed with other colors, offspring may vary widely, making line notes important for anyone trying to reproduce the look.
