Creme d'Argent (US)
Creme d'Argent in the US is the American registry form of the cream silvered Argente rabbit. It is generally selected for a commercial body, dense coat, and orange-cream surface broken by silvering, with enough undercolor to keep the rabbit from looking pale or flat. The spelling may omit the French accent, but the breed remains tied to the Argente tradition of silvered coats.
US breeders usually evaluate juniors with patience because silvering and surface color change as the rabbit matures. Good stock should combine useful body depth with a clean coat and consistent temperament, not merely a pretty shade. For owners, the breed is managed like other medium-large rabbits: dry housing, hay, clean water, nail checks, and protection from heat. Show buyers should compare animals to the current United States standard rather than relying on imported descriptions.
