Florida White
The Florida White is a small white rabbit developed in the United States as a practical multipurpose breed for laboratory, meat, and show use. It has a compact body, short white coat, and ruby eyes, with a cleaner commercial outline than many tiny pet breeds. The breed's strength is consistency: a good Florida White is moderate in size, easy to assess, and useful where a small white production-type rabbit is wanted.
Florida Whites are often chosen by exhibitors and youth breeders because the coat is simple, the color standard is narrow, and the body type teaches commercial-rabbit structure without giant-breed space demands. They still need dry housing, shade, and enough exercise to stay firm rather than soft. Breeders watch depth, loin, hindquarter fill, and reproductive reliability. For buyers, the white coat and red eyes should not be the only criteria; ask about temperament, teeth, litter size in the line, and whether the rabbits are being bred for show, meat pens, or general homestead use.
