Mini Cashmere Lop
Mini Cashmere Lop is commonly used for a small lopped rabbit with the longer cashmere coat associated with Cashmere Lop breeding. The name may appear informally, while United Kingdom registry language often favors Miniature Cashmere Lop for the recognized small version. The defining combination is dropped ears, compact lop type, and a soft coat longer than a normal lop's rollback fur, without turning the rabbit into an angora.
The coat is the management point that separates this rabbit from a smooth Mini Lop. Regular combing is needed around the chest, flanks, belly, and behind the ears, especially during juvenile coat changes and molt. Breeders have to keep wool length, ear carriage, and body type in balance; too little coat loses the cashmere identity, while too much or too cottony a coat becomes difficult for pet homes. Buyers should ask which registry name the breeder uses and how often the line usually needs grooming.
