Mini Lop (US)
The Mini Lop in United States registry use is a distinct ARBA breed, not the same as the smaller Holland Lop and not the British Miniature Lop. It is a four-class lop with a compact, powerful body, wide head, strong crown, and ears that hang close to the cheeks. Solid and broken pattern groups are recognized, with many colors appearing under those groupings.
American Mini Lop breeders often select for balance: a rabbit should look sturdy and rounded without losing mobility or becoming coarse. Ear carriage depends on crown structure, so young animals need time before final judgment. For pet homes, the breed's moderate size means larger litter boxes, stronger flooring, and more exercise space than many dwarf breeds. Buyers should check mature weights in the line, because casual listings sometimes use Mini Lop for any smallish lop mix.
