Pannon White
Pannon White is a Hungarian white rabbit line developed for meat production rather than for the fancy-show tradition. It is usually discussed as a selected albino production breed or synthetic line associated with university and commercial breeding programs in Hungary. The type is valued for growth, reproductive performance, and carcass traits, so its identity sits closer to agricultural livestock selection than to color-variety exhibition.
Keepers working with Pannon White rabbits should think in herd terms: health records, litter data, feed conversion, growth checks, and sound replacements are more important than decorative appearance. The white coat and red eyes can resemble New Zealand White or other albino production rabbits, so origin and line history matter. In small farms, the breed needs the same careful heat management, clean nesting, and culling for weak feet or poor mothering that any serious meat-rabbit program requires.
