Pointed Beveren
Pointed Beveren is a rare Beveren variety associated with white-tipped guard hairs over the usual Beveren color base. The Beveren itself is an old Belgian fur and utility breed with a large mandolin-shaped body, dense glossy rollback coat, and blue, black, or white varieties in many modern registry settings. The pointed form adds a frosted or tipped appearance without turning the rabbit into a Silver, Silver Fox, or Chinchilla.
Because Pointed Beveren is uncommon, context matters. Some references treat it as a special variety within the Beveren tradition rather than as a separate breed, and recognition may differ by country. Breeders should focus on keeping the Beveren body, coat length, and vigor intact while selecting for the tipped coat effect. Buyers should confirm whether the rabbit is from Beveren stock or simply a large rabbit with pale ticking, since the management and breeding value are not the same.
