Multicolor
Multicolor betta is a broad color classification for domestic Betta splendens showing several colors on the body and fins without being sold under a narrower pattern name. A multicolor may carry red, blue, white, black, yellow, copper, or green in patches, washes, fin bands, or speckles. In show and hobby use, the label usually describes visible appearance rather than a stable genetic recipe, and it can overlap with marble, butterfly, koi, and metallic backgrounds.
For keepers, the appeal is that each fish must be judged on its own pattern, balance, and health. The care does not differ from other bettas: a heated aquarium, calm filtration, and surfaces or plants where the fish can rest near the top are more important than color. Breeding multicolor bettas can produce attractive but uneven spawns; strong pair selection is needed if the goal is clean separation of colors rather than muddiness. Photographs may not show how the fish looks under ordinary room light.
